Join us this Thursday from 6pm-9pm for the Women of Ybor Art Exhibition at the Ybor City Museum State Park.
This event is part of a year long celebration of the women who have impacted Ybor City in the past, present, and future. We will be on hand and pouring samples of the newest batch of Bolita Double Nut Brown Ale taking in the sights! The HCC Jazz band and Dancers will be performing throughout the night. There will be appetizers served, and a cash bar will be available to purchase Jai-Alai IPA and Maduro Brown Ale as well as other beverages.
From what I am told there will actually be a game of Bolita played during the event. Not just a clever name for a very tasty beer, this game which came to Tampa in the 1880's is as much a part of this Ybor City's history as the renegade chickens that roam the neighborhood streets! I am thinking there won't be any mobsters around "fixing" the game; so it should be fun to give it a try. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12.50 at the door. For more info, click here.
Speaking of fun! As quite a few of you already know, we recently hosted a few of our fellow brewers from both Vermont and Denmark for a few days in September to work on a series of beers yet to be released. This was mentioned in an article on craftbeer.com you can find here telling the tales of some very popular colla"BEER"ations you might have tried as well as a few that are yet to hit the market. Collaborating with other brewers is not only fun for all involved, but also helps to gain insight to processes and techniques of other small brewers worldwide. Having these guys in our brewery and sharing the artistic input results in a beer that captures the passion and devotion of all of us to our craft and it's a great thing to share with those you admire. Not to get sentimental or anything.. Still, the beer is amazing and coming soon!
