2nd Annual Oktoberfest ~ Broken Barrel Tavern *update*

**Seeing as this wonderful weekend is but a day or so away, let me further titillate and tantalize with the official foodage as given to me by the one, the only, Kevin. To find Broken Barrel Tavern of Palm Bay, Florida, please check out their FaceBook page.**

Here's what's for Dinner this weekend. We're keeping the beers a secret, partially out of suspense and partially bc I have no idea if the distributors will come through!
Prosit!
Kevin

OKTOBERFEST FOOD MENU

Sides & Snacks
Rotkraut (Braised Red Cabbage)- Braised for several hours over low heat with our special spices and tart cooking apples.

Kartoffelsalat (German Potato Salad)- Boiled potatoes cut into rounds and tossed into a mustard dressing and topped with green onion and bacon crumbles.

Apfelmus (Applesauce)- This is soon to be another of our house specialties, made from scratch by Kitchen Manager Chris Happy and a perfect accompaniment to virtually everything!

Kartoffelpuffer (Potato Cakes)- Every culture makes a variation, and for the Germans theirs are cooked like hash browns with a unique blend of spices. This is a perfect partner for the Applesauce!

Brezel (Soft Pretzels)- A must at every Oktoberfest, these Bavarian Classics are served with your choice of Yellow or Spicy Mustards.

Main Plates*
Schweine-Schnitzel (Breaded & Fried Pork Tenderloin)- Thinly sliced Pork Loin, seasoned, covered in bread crumbs, pan fried to perfection and topped simply with a slice of lemon. Comes with a choice of two sides.

Schweinebraten (German Roasted Pork Loin)- Seasoned specially for this event and slow roasted, we serve the center cut loin with a cider gravy and choice of two sides.

Bratwurst (Pork Sausage)- Boiled first in German Oktoberfest, these Brats are grilled to order and served with as a Sandwich w/ Spicy Mustard, Sauerkraut and one side or as an entrée with spicy mustard and two sides.

*Note- You saw correctly, all three of our entrees are indeed pork! Forget about your cardiologist this weekend and enjoy this delicious, once a year occasion; but you may want to stop by his office on Monday!
